Natural rubber sheets are not resistant to oil.The characteristic of natural rubber sheets is good elasticity,wear resistance,aging resistance,and good cold resistance,and are mainly used in the fields of construction,flooring,seals,vibrators,ETC.

Among the rubber sheets,the ones with better oil resistance are nitrile rubber sheets(NBR),hydrogenated nitrile rubber sheets(HNBR),chloroprene rubber sheets(CR),and fluorine rubber sheets(FKM).

One,Nitrile Rubber Sheets(NBR)

Nitrile rubber sheets are made by copolymerizing acrylonitrile and butadiene.Nitrile rubber sheets are mainly produced by low-temperature emulsion polymerization.The acrylonitrile content ranges from 18%to 50%.The higher the acrylonitrile content,the better the resistance to petroleum hydrocarbon fuels,but the cold resistance deteriorates.The normal operating temperature range is-25 to 100℃.Nitrile rubber is one of the most commonly used rubbers for oil seals and O-rings.

Nitrile rubber sheets have good resistance to oil,water,solvents,gas tightness,high pressure oil resistance,and excellent adhesion properties.They have sealing and anti-expansion properties in oil media(motor oil,diesel oil,gasoline,lubricating oil).They have good compression,wear resistance,and elongation.

It has good water resistance,gas tightness,and excellent adhesion properties.It is widely used to make various oil-resistant rubber products,such as oil-resistant gaskets,垫片,sleeves,tubes,soft packaging,soft rubber hoses,printing rubber rollers,and cable rubber materials,etc.It has become an indispensable elastic material in the automotive,aviation,petroleum,and copying industries.

 

Two,Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber Sheets(HNBR)

Hydrogenated nitrile rubber(HNBR)is made by catalytically adding hydrogen to the unsaturated double bonds in acrylonitrile butadiene rubber,resulting in a saturated main chain but retaining the cyano group.This makes HNBR retain its excellent oil resistance while having high strength,tear resistance,wear resistance,good adhesion,heat resistance,weather resistance,and chemical stability.It can withstand acids,bases,and salts at high temperatures,and can work in lubricating oil and fuel oil media with corrosive additives.It is one of the most outstanding rubbers in terms of comprehensive performance.

Hydrogenated nitrile rubber is currently widely used in the oilfield,automotive industry,etc.It is particularly suitable for producing drill pipe shrouds for oil and gas wells,valve seal rings,and gaskets for pumps and other rubber components.The radiation resistance of HNBR is better than that of silicone rubber,fluorine rubber,and polytetrafluoroethylene,and is suitable for producing various rubber seals for nuclear power plants.

 

Three,Chloroprene rubber(CR)

Chloroprene rubber is a multi-purpose elastomer with good overall performance.It not only resists silicone-based lubricating oil,but also has good tensile strength and excellent physical toughness;good heat and ozone resistance,good weathering resistance,better heat resistance than nitrile rubber board,and second-to-none weathering resistance compared to EPDM rubber board.It is not afraid of direct sunlight and does not fear violent twisting.It is not afraid of refrigerants and is resistant to dilute acids.It tends to crystallize and harden at low temperatures,has poor storage stability,and expands greatly in mineral oil with a benzene point low.The general use temperature range is-50°C to 150°C.Chloroprene rubber has flame retardancy and does not spontaneously ignite.It can burn when in contact with flames,but will self-extinguish when removed from the flames.The oxygen index is 38-41.Materials with an oxygen index of 27 or higher are considered flame-retardant materials.All rubber sheets containing sufficient concentrations of halogen compounds have flame-retardant properties.The oxygen index is a measure of the material’s combustibility,defined as the lowest volume of oxygen gas required for a candle-like flame to be maintained in a nitrogen-oxygen mixture.The oxygen index of neoprene rubber sheets is very high,making them difficult to ignite,second only to fluoroelastomer sheets.

 

Four,Fluoroelastomer sheets(FKM)

Fluoroelastomer sheets have the characteristics of oil resistance,high temperature resistance,and chemical corrosion resistance,with a working temperature range of-25℃-250℃.

Fluoroelastomer is a high-performance rubber with excellent resistance to hydrocarbons,chemicals,oil,and heat.It also has excellent compression resistance,especially at high temperatures.These rubber sheets are widely used in the petroleum industry,the aviation industry,the automotive industry,and other corrosive environments.It is suitable for punching various high-oil-resistant,flame-retardant,high-temperature-resistant,and corrosive sealing parts,sealing rings,cylinder membrane linings,and products for use in the aerospace and aviation fields.
