The tensile strength of rubber sheet

The tensile strength of rubber sheet is related to the material and thickness. In general, the thicker the rubber sheet, the stronger its pressure resistance. The pressure resistance of different materials of rubber sheet is also different. Generally speaking, the tensile strength of ordinary rubber sheet is between 3-6 MPa, the tensile strength of insulating rubber sheet is between 6-10 MPa, and the tensile strength of wear-resistant rubber sheet is between 10-20 MPa.
Test method of tensile strength of rubber sheet
1. Sample preparation: First of all, suitable specifications of rubber samples should be selected and processed geometrically and measured according to the international standard requirements. Then the sample should be placed at room temperature and allowed to reach a state of equilibrium to reduce the influence of internal stress.
2. Test instruments: The commonly used rubber tensile strength testing instruments are universal testing machines, electronic universal testing machines, hydraulic testing machines, etc. Among them, the electronic universal testing machine is the most widely used testing instrument at present, its main features are high precision, fast test speed, automatic data processing, etc.
3. Test steps: Place the sample on the test platform and test according to the setting parameters of the testing instrument. During the test, the following points should be noted:
(1) The test should be conducted under constant environmental conditions to avoid interference from environmental factors; (2) It is necessary to ensure that the sample used in the test has consistent quality and size, otherwise the accuracy of the test results will be affected.
(3) It is necessary to ensure that the sample is subjected to uniform load during the test, so that the internal stress distribution of the sample is even.
