In scenarios such as electronic workshops and distribution rooms where strict control over static electricity is required, anti-static rubber sheets serve as a crucial line of defense for safety. Adhering, as an important method of installation, every detail of the operation directly affects whether the protective effect can be truly achieved.Adhering is not a simple process of joining, but a systematic task that requires consideration of the ground condition, environmental conditions, and construction techniques. Any oversight may lead to the rubber sheet lifting or detaching, creating a gap in the static electricity protection line.

Pre-treatment of the ground and rubber sheet before adhering is the core prerequisite for ensuring a firm bond. The ground must be thoroughly clean and dry; any presence of dust, oil, or moisture will create an invisible barrier between the rubber sheet and the ground, significantly weakening the adhesive force.

Before construction, the surface to be adhered should be carefully cleaned with 120° gasoline and allowed to dry completely. Then, a special rubber liquid should be evenly applied. At the same time, the adhering surface of the rubber sheet should also be finely treated, using a coarse grinding wheel, coarse sandpaper, or wood file to slightly roughen the surface, especially the 30-50mm area around the edge, ensuring thorough grinding to increase the surface roughness, allowing the rubber liquid to better penetrate and adhere, laying the foundation for a firm bond.

Controlling environmental conditions is an important aspect of the adhering process that cannot be ignored. Adhering operations have clear requirements for temperature and humidity. The environmental temperature should be controlled between 25℃ and 42℃, and the relative humidity should not exceed 60%. This temperature and humidity range ensures that the rubber liquid has good fluidity, facilitating even application and full penetration, while also ensuring a stable curing speed, avoiding rapid solidification due to low temperature leading to insufficient adhesion, or high humidity affecting the curing effect, ultimately impacting the reliability of the adhesion. Before construction, environmental parameters must be monitored in advance. If the conditions are not met, a suitable construction environment should be created by adjusting the room temperature or dehumidifying. Rushing the work without considering environmental requirements is not advisable.

The details during the adhering process directly determine the overall fit and service life of the rubber sheet. The adhering thickness of anti-static rubber sheets is typically controlled at 3-5mm. During construction, conductive rubber liquid should be evenly applied to the adhering surface of the rubber sheet and the ground to ensure even distribution of the adhesive, avoiding local accumulation or missed application. When encountering gaps in the rubber sheet joints, thin rubber sheets of 1.2X1000X10000mm can be used, cut into 30-50mm wide rubber strips with a paper cutter, and then applied with conductive rubber liquid and precisely adhered to the gap surface to fill the gap, preventing dust and dirt from accumulating in the gap and affecting the adhesion effect, while ensuring the continuity of the overall anti-static performance.

Comprehensive inspection before construction and post-construction maintenance are also key steps to ensure the quality of the adhesion. Before construction, in addition to cleaning the ground, the flatness of the ground should be carefully inspected. If the ground is uneven, it must be leveled first to prevent the rubber sheet from lifting or curling due to poor adhesion. After adhering, the rubber sheet should not be put into use immediately. It should be left to cure in a suitable temperature and humidity environment, avoiding stepping on or moving the rubber sheet during this period. Only after the rubber liquid has completely cured should subsequent acceptance and use be carried out.
